To Nick Patterson and his family and the 82nd Troop / Tracey And John Stevens (Friends of the 82nd )
Although I wish I would have known this brave man, and I may have met him at some time and not realized it, I also grieved with everyone over this. This is such a sad sad thing. I have many friends in Iraq, and wish we could all just bring them home even though I know in our hearts we know that they are doing what they are supposed to, they are all brave and deserve the utmost respect from everyone. I had the wonderful opportunity to spend quit a bit of time with the 82nd because I am a bartender at Rumors Nightclub. They came in many a night to talk about Nick and I got to know Nick through them. I gave them free drinks so we could do many tributes to Nick. Nick gods speed, and you will not be forgotten and the 82nd that served with you are wonderful brave, respectful men that loved and miss you so very much, it was an honor to serve them. With Love, Tracey and John Stevens, Shandi and Kazie

Los Angeles, CA I did not personally know Sgt. Patterson or his wife Jayme. I am a cousin who moved away from the area 21 years ago. Still, word has reached me of this tragedy. My heart goes out to you Jayme and your small son. I would also like to express my sincere condolences to the parents and family of Sgt. Patterson, my cousin Jim and his wife Jan, and my uncle/aunt Roy and Marilyn Saner. My thoughts are with you. Sincerely, Marie Saner London
