I just want to express my sympathy to everyone effected by the loss. Nick was an absolute gem, and Ill miss his smiles and his easy-going manner. I am out of the country right now, so I cant attend any of the services, but I just want everyone to know how sorry I am for the loss of a freaking great guy. Love you, Nick.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Sgt. Nick Patterson. He was an awesome young man. I consider it an honor to have crossed paths with him. The family of Nick can be proud knowing what a fine young man he was. I am very sorry for your loss. And to his son Reilley…. I want you to know that your Daddy sure was proud of you. His eyes shined when he spoke of you. He loved you so very much and he will always be with you. I am sure of that. He will never be forgotten.

I didn't know him personally but I remember seeing him around. I didn't even realize his parents live a couple of blocks away from my parents.

This is truly sad indeed. Thoughts are with his family.
