John David “John D.” Longpre, age 13 and Erin Renee “BabyGirl” Longpre, age 9 of Indianapolis died Friday, June 29, 2012 as a result of a tragic auto accident in Monticello, Indiana. John D. was born March 7, 1999, the son of John and Sheila (Finch) Longpre. John was a seventh grade student at Middle School East, Franklin Township. He was best described as having a heart of gold and would never speak an unkind word to anyone. John enjoyed swimming, video games, chess club and playing his violin in the orchestra.
Erin was born February 9, 2003 the daughter of John and Sheila (Finch) Longpre. Erin was a third grade student at Kitley Elementary, Franklin Township. She was best known for her “spit fire” personality. Erin had a love for being the center of attention and giving “her boys” a hard time. Erin was most often seen with a smile on her face. She was best known for wearing mismatched clothing of her choice.
Survivors include parents John and Sheila (Finch) Longpre and one brother, Brandon Longpre all of Indianapolis. Also surviving are grandparents, Rick and Laurie (Tracy) Finch, as well as three aunts and two uncles. John and Erin’s grandparents, Ronald and Sandra (Wheatcroft) Longpre died as a result of the accident as well.
Funeral Information
Combined services for John and Erin and their grandparents will be held at Modetz Funeral Home Silverbell Chapel in Orion, Michigan on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 11:00am. Friends may call on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 from 3 to 9pm. There will also be a memorial service on Thursday, July 12. 2012 at the Mancelona Free Methodist Church in Mancelona, Michigan at 2:00pm.

A Memorial Service for John D. and Erin will be held on Thursday, July 19th at the Riley Outpatient Center Auditorium in Indianapolis at 6pm for friends and family.
