Services will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2009, for Vidal Nicolas Miguel Felipe, 35, of Logansport. He had been missing since Nov. 30, 2008 and his partial remains were found Sept. 22, 2009. Positive DNA test results identified his remains earlier this week. Born Nov. 7, 1973, in San Sebastian Coatan Huehuetenango, Guatemala in Central America, he was the son of Mateo Miguel and Angelina Juan Felipe, who both survive in Guatemala. On July 30, 2004, he was married to Tabitha Mersch Miguel, who survives. A woodworker, Nick had worked at Cole Hardwood for over 10 years. He coached soccer and had played on the Cole Hardwood indoor team at the YMCA and in the Sangralea Valley Soccer leagues. He was a great father and loved spending time with his children. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Surviving with his wife and parents are his daughter and son, Angelina Renee Miguel and Alexander Vidal Miguel, and stepson, Mark Allen Pruitt III, all at home;daughter,Marissa Marie Miguel,of Logansport; two brothers, Juan Miguel, of Logansport; and Jakobo Miguel, Guatemala; four sisters, Elena Miguel, Alabama, and Manueala Juan Miguel, Abigail Miguel and Sara Miguel, all of Guatemala; his paternal grandmother, Elena of Guatemala; and many cousins in Logansport. Funeral InformationA memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2010, in Fisher Funeral Chapel, with Father Mike McKinney, of All Saints Catholic Church, officiating. Burial, at a later date, will be in Guatemala. Donations Information
