Caroline M. Gottschalk, 75, of Stockwell, IN, died Wednesday, August 11, 2010.

Born April 13, 1935, in Camden, IN, she was the daughter of Ralph and Eva Dewalt Galbreath. In 1970, in Logansport, she was married to John E. Gottschalk, who preceded her in death in 1996.

A homemaker, Caroline was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Logansport and also attended the Stockwell United Methodist Church. She was a volunteer with the Stockwell Fire Department. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and quilting. She loved art and was an excellent painter. Her hobbies also included gardening and flowers.

Surviving are five sons, Stanley (wife Debora)Piercy, of Kokomo, Ronnie (wife Donna) Piercy, of Whitestown, Barney (wife Susan) Piercy, of Colfax, Louis (wife Angie) Piercy, of Grover Hill, Ohio, and Barry (wife Dee) Piercy, of Noblesville; one sister, Eva (husband Walter) Keller, of Camden; three brothers, Clarence (wife Marsha) Galbreath, of Burnettsville, Richard (wife Kay) Galbreath and Joe (wife Evelyn) Galbreath all of Logansport; twelve grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Taulman, Helen Fox, and Anna Costello; and three brothers, Chuck, Louis and Stanley Galbreath.

Funeral Information

Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, August 15, 2010, in Fisher-Loy Funeral Chapel, Lafayette.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Monday, August 16, 2010, in St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Father Shockley officiating.

Interment will be in Yorktown Cemetery.

Donations Information

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Clarian Hospice.
