Mary E. James, 89, of Logansport, IN, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012 in Dukes Memorial Hospital, Peru.
Born May 20, 1923 in Wayne County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Walter and Bertha L. Morrison Russell. She was married to Sept. 27, 1941, in Hemlock, Indiana to Harold James. He preceded her in death in 1984.
Mary was a 1941 graduate of Kokomo High School. She was retired from the Caston School Corporation where she had worked in the cafeteria for several years.
Mary was a member of the Metea Baptist Church. She was a 50-year member of the Royal Center Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are three sons, Dannie (Sue) James, of McKinney, Texas, Joe (Deb) James, of Logansport, and Jeff (Julie) James, of Aurora, Illinois; two daughters, Diana (Dick) Eurit, of Rochester, and Joyce (Joe) Osborn, of Wabash; twelve grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter Virginia; three brothers and one sister.
Funeral Information
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Fisher Funeral Chapel, Logansport.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012, in Fisher Funeral Chapel, Logansport.
Burial will follow in the Kokomo Memorial Gardens, 1300 East North St., Kokomo.

Contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children and the Metea Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
