Floyd E. Pope

Floyd E. Pope, 74, Logansport, passed away at 2:44 a.m.Wednesday, October 18, 2017, in Franciscan St. Elizabeth East Hospital, Lafayette.

Born February 4, 1943, in Wilmont, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Laura Leida (Roark) and Wiley Martin Pope.

On September 15,1962, in Logansport, he was married to Mildred I. Pope who preceded him in death May 23, 2002.

Floyd was retired from Moon Fabricating of Kokomo where he had worked as a plant superintendent.

A strong advocate of the Cass County Senior Center, Floyd enjoyed the fellowship and food there every day.  He always looked forward to a game of cards, espeically euchre.  He loved his family dearly and his Senior Center friends were an extension of his family. 

Surviving are three daughters, Anita (Joe) Davis, Peru, Vanessa (Gary) White, Rogers, Arkansas, and DeLaura Baker, Marion one son, William Pope, Logansport; sisters, Jackie Walters and Ann Pope, Logansport, Leola Anderson, Kentucky, and Joyce Lawson, Arkansas; grandchildren: William Ingle II, Elgin Ingle, Nathan Ingle, Stephanie Branum, Joshua White, Morgan White, Justin Sommers, Randall Baker, Jr, James Boheme, Jr, LaTisha Cleland, William Cleland, Cody Pope, and Dale Pope and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by one son, Floyd Jr; brothers, Jack, Wiley Jr, and Lonnie; and sisters, Hazel, Genieve, Evelyn, and Francis.

 

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 21 in Fisher Funeral Chapel .

Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20 in the funeral chapel. .
