Richard Fontana II

December 27, 1964 - December 30, 2011

Richard C. "Rich" Fontana II, 47, of Lafayette, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011 in St. Elizabeth-Central.

He was born December 27, 1964 in Danville, IL. He was the son of the late Richard C. Fontana and Sherrilyn Zapushek Fontana. His mother survives in Pflugerville TX. He was married on September 8, 2001 in Lafayette to Kimberly Aldridge Fontana, who survives.

He worked as an Operations Manager for Applied Industries for the last 5 years. Prior to that, he worked for Berry Bearing/Motion Industries for 15 years.

Rich enjoyed listening to music, playing on his computer, and watching movies. As a member of the NRA Rich enjoyed target shooting. Rich was also an avid fisherman.

Surviving with his wife are 2 sons, Nikko Fontana and Domnic Fontana, of Chesterton, Indiana; and 2 daughters, Isabella Fontana, of Chesterton and Matalyn Aldridge, of Lafayette. Also surviving are a sister, Toni Galassini husband Andrew of Niles, Illinois, and a brother, Micheal Fontana wife Ellen of Round Rock, Texas.

Funeral Information

A Memorial Service will be held at Fisher-Loy Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 7pm with Celebrant Patricia Fisher officiating. Friends may call between 5-7pm on Wednesday.
