Obituary for Anna C. Hickman

Anna C. Hickman, 77 of Lafayette passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Mulberry Health Care.

Anna was born on November 3, 1940 in Lafayette to the late H. Troy and Lorice Bell Bails.

She was a 1958 graduate of Lauramie High School and went on to graduate from International Business College in Fort Wayne.

On April 23, 1960 Anna was married to Willis D. "Bill" Hickman in Mulberry. Bill preceded her in death on March 16th.

Anna worked 22+ years as a secretary at Consolidated Industries and then for 10 years as a secretary at Home Hospital.

Anna enjoyed her cats and dogs, landscaping her home, starting fires, ceramics, cherubs, lighthouses, painting and wallpapering. Her favorite color is purple and she is a Indy 500 fan but most of all she enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.

Surviving are her daughter, Kolleen (Howard Jr.) Wooten of King, North Carolina, her son Troy (Elaine) Hickman of Lafayette and her grandchildren, Riley Hickman and Kolton (fiancé Stephanie Howard) Hughes. Also surviving are two step grandchildren; Ashley (Greg) Leeber and Nathan (Jill) Wooten.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Lafayette. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Lafayette with Pastor Stan Sutton officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Big Ten Cancer Research Center www.bigtencrc.org or the Loving Heart Animal Shelter www.lovingheartanimalshelter.org in memory of Anna. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
