Obituary for John Delman "J.D." Grigsby

John Delman "J.D." Grigsby, 49, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on February 20, 2018 in Lafayette, IN.

He was born on February 15, 1969 in Gary, IN to Lee and Sharon (Petersen) Grigsby.

J.D. graduated from Magoffin High School in 1987.

He owned J.D. Metals and attended Goodway Baptist Church in Medaryville, IN.

J.D. loved his family especially his grandchildren and he enjoyed looking for scrap metal.

Surviving are his children, Tabatha Grigsby of Lafayette, John (fiancée Cheyenne) Grigsby of Monticello, and Austin Grigsby of Monticello; his mother, Sharon Grigsby of Logansport; and siblings, Lee C. Grigsby of Merrillville, Marie (Ed) Winegardner of Logansport, Theresa Spencer of Merrillville, James M. Grigsby of Logansport, and Paul D. Grigsby of Merrillville. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Jakobe, Bryant, Jamin, Brooklyn, Serenity, and Cadanse Grigsby.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Grigsby and his cousin, C.J. Grigsby.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 26, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1p.m. at Goodway Baptist Church (14065 West 400 North, Medaryville, IN). Services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor James Rowe officiating. Interment will follow in Goodway Baptist Cemetery.
