Obituary for Karen Lynn Blacker Lyman

Karen Lynn Blacker Lyman, 60 of Clarks Hill passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.

Karen was born on April 18, 1957 in Lafayette to Wayne and Patricia Johnson Blacker.

She graduated from Wainwright High School in 1975.

Karen was the Activities Assistant for Signature Health Care for 20+ years and she also worked for the Dollar Tree.

Karen was very active in the Boy and Girl Scouts where she served as Program Director. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.

Karen enjoyed crafts of all kinds, traveling, shopping, and spoiling her grandpups and grandkids.

Surviving with her parents Wayne and Patricia Blacker of Clarks Hill are her husband, Chris Foster of Clarks Hill, her daughter, Katie (Daniel) Stroud and her son Casey Lyman both of Attica, and her siblings; Connie Southern of Clarks Hill, Dave (Jana) Blacker of Brookston, Kelly (Jeff) Hindsley of Lafayette, and Carla (Mike) Stearns of Clarks Hill. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Carly, Adrian, Danielle, and Katlyn and a great granddaughter, Makenna.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Lafayette. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 1 -5 p.m. at Brady Lane Church. Burial will be held at a later date at Plainview Cemetery in Colfax.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Fisher Funeral Chapel for funeral expenses in memory of Karen. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
