Obituary for Roberta "Bert" Wade

Roberta "Bert" Wade, 70, of Lafayette went to be with Jesus on Monday, May 28, 2018. She passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family.

She is loved by many and will be greatly missed. Bert loved her family so much and she was one of the biggest supporters and advocates any one of them could have asked for. There was nothing she enjoyed more then going to any one of her nephews or nieces sporting events where she proudly cheered for them.

Bert gave her love freely and always saw the best in everyone. Heaven gained a wonderful angel while the world will never be fully aware of what it has lost.

She was born on August 6, 1947 in Lafayette to the late Norman W. and Helen B. (Snyder) Wade.

Bert graduated from Jefferson High School in 1965 and attended Purdue University before transferring to Indiana Business College where she received her Associate' Degree.

She worked for Culligan of Lafayette for 43 years as the Office Manager and Accountant.

Bert was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.

Surviving are her siblings, David K. Wade of Lafayette, Carroll (Gene) Zeider of Goodland, and Teresa Nice of Lafayette; nieces and nephews, Steve (Cathy) Zieder, Troy Nice, Jessica Austin, Tammy Jo (Kevin) Wade Harris, and Davy Wade; great nieces and nephews, Cassie Zieder, Jordan Zieder, Trent Nice, Trevor Nice, TaraLyne Martin, and Amanda Wade; and several great-great nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at Victory Christian Church (10 N. Earl Ave.) on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. with Pastor Bill Mickler officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
