Obituary for Sandra James

Sandra James, 88, Logansport, passed away at 4:53 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, in Chase Center.

Born September 23, 1929, in Princeton, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Melvin A. and Olive Pauline (Bush) Gee.

Sandra worked as a secretary before her retirement. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Logansport where she was active in the music ministry playing the piano and directing the choir. Sandra also played for the Sunshine Boys Southern Gospel Quartet.

Surviving are her four children: Lyman (Dianne) James, of Plant City, Florida, Dennis (Christine) James of Austin, Texas, Marcia (Alvin) Miller, of Swisher, Iowa, and Stan James, of Tampa, Florida; one brother, Ben (Doris) Gee, of Texas; two sisters, Barbara Prilliman, of Mooresville, Indiana, and Brenda (Mitch) Milhollin, of Benbrook, Texas; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service celebrating Sandra's life will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 4 in Church of Christ at Logansport located at 2347 Burlington Avenue, with Jeff Strite and Larry McMillan officiating.

Terry Crist will officiate at the graveside service which will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday May 5 in the White Lick Cemetery of the Mooresville Friends Church in Mooresville, IN.
