Obituary for Richard "Rich" L. Cox

Richard "Rich" L. Cox, 67 of Lafayette passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 at St. Elizabeth East.

Richard was born on October 7, 1950 in Lafayette to the late Richard D. and Alice Million Cox.

Rich was a 1968 graduate of Twin Lakes High School and went on to receive his Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science from Purdue.

Rich served his country in the U.S. Army and was station at Fort Knox.

On June 5, 1999 he was married to Jill Day in Lafayette.

He worked many years at Rollins Plant Services.

Rich enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, making guitars, and roasting coffee.

He was a proud member of the SURF Center and a member of AA for 30 years.

Surviving is his wife, Jill Cox of Lafayette, his son, Richie (Angel) Cox of Lafayette, and his brother, William Wally Cox of Monticello.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Traci Hahn and his nephew, Eli Cox.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at the SURF Center 307 N 10th St, Lafayette on September 23, 2018 from 1-5 p.m.
