Franklin Dewayne Shumate, 77, of Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018.

He was born on July 17, 1940 in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Winfield E. and Edna (Wilson) Shumate.

Franklin worked for Indiana Veterans Home in building services for 25 years before retiring.

Surviving are his children, Timothy (Lisa) Shumate of Frankfort, Kimberly (Timothy Melvin) Shumate of Alamo, and Jeffery (Toni) Shumate of Lafayette and his brother, Ronnie Shumate of Tennessee. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

There will be no services.
