Obituary for Mai Ngoc Thai

Mai Ngoc Thai, 57, of West Lafayette, IN, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018.

She was born on January 11, 1961, in Saigon, Vietnam to the late Dinh Thai and Tran Thi Thai.

Mai married Thanh Q. Huynh on October 16, 1984 in Maryland.

She worked for House of Saigon as a chef. Mai enjoyed cooking and feeding others, gardening, finding a good shopping deal, and she loved children.

Surviving with her husband, Thanh Q. Huynh of West Lafayette are her children, Gloria Huynh of Johnson City, TN, Lisa (Kevin) Ma of Los Angeles, CA, Jackie (Ramona) Huynh of Nashville, TN, and William Huynh of Seattle, WA; and her siblings, Thai Binh Dai, Thai Mieu Long, Thai Muoi, Thai Yen Long, Thai A Nong, Thai Nam Long, Thai Binh Quang, and Thai Vi Long.

She was preceded in death by her sibling, Thai Binh Chanh.

A Buddhist Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. with the Nuns of An Lac Temple officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery, West Lafayette, IN. Following burial, prayer will be held at An Lac Temple, 5249 30th Street, Indianapolis. All are welcome.
